It has been a while. Last time we spoke, I was figuring things out. But what now?
I have not posted any article in a while, to be exact: none for the past 5 months… Now I look back and wonder what happened. I believe I am at a new turn in my life. And since the beginning of 2017, I have been figuring out new possible ways for me to balance my lives (Personal, social, professional and so on.)
Travels somehow help me to release pressure and open my mind, make some space to reflect and ask myself the questions I always avoid in my everyday life. But wtf… end of January I packed my things and have been on the road since mid February. I don’t know when exactly will I settle again. I know I cannot be forever physically on the move.
By the way, that is why we don’t meet so often at the moment at my concerts. I decided for now to have a “small” interlude and to think of the past and future. (Tavels is the present.) What makes me thrive? Of course music will always be my muse and my way of going through life. But maybe I would like to dedicate more time to share, teach, coach and help others in their projects, ambitions. I have been learning so much through the past decade (from laughs, sweat and tears). It was kind of an accelerator in life, full of wonderful encounters with great people from all of the world and from all kind of fields as a musician, project leader, ICT and social worker in European projects and on tour.
I AM GRATEFUL.
Many great minds and my own experiences (some painful, some joyful) make me grow wiser, more patient and more focused. It is not an easy path. But what is “easy”? It is all relative… Now it might be the right time for some changes. But thoughtful changes, reaching for peace and harmony and always in a healthy way.
It took me a long time to feel no fear on stage, to transform stress into enjoyment, to share an experience. And I have been exploring deeply in order to grow in my artist life and entrepreneur life. I might have neglected my personal life. Now it is time to balance all of it, my inner and outer self, and to focus on reaching the synergy that I always have been praising for.
Like my friends say: Long is the way.
I would add: WE are the way.
I would like this website to become the convergence of all my experiences, a resourceful spot for musicians, artists, travelers, and whoever is interested in my story. I invite you to sign up and check regularly for some of my new stories and tips about music, travels, ICT, and what I feel relevant. Please also feel free to comment and send me feedbacks. I am always open for a constructive discussion and I believe we all grow from each others’ stories.
Sincerly yours, Jérôme
