Ema, huszonéves reggaeton táncos, (Marina Di Girolamo) Gastón, harmincas koreográfus (Gael García Bernal) egy kortárs, experimentális társulat tagjai Valparaíso városában. Egy véletlen baleset következtében örökbefogadott fiuk, Polo állami gondozásba kerül, ami miatt házasságuk is zátonyra fut. Ema szó szerint a tűzzel játszik, amikor egy előre megtervezett, ördögi forgatókönyv mentén mindent visszaszerez, amit elvettek tőle.
